Meghan e Harry vogliono vedere la Regina nonostante la quarantena

Meghan Markle e il Principe Harry vorrebbero trascorrere l’estate nel Regno Unito.

La ragione, come spiega il Sun, è che i duchi di Sussex vorrebbero vedere la Regina Elisabetta II e passare del tempo con lei nella residenza di Balmoral. Tuttavia, con l’avanzare del coronavirus si tratta di un’ipotesi decisamente remota, tanto più che la sovrana pare passerà diversi mesi nel castello di Windsor. I Sussex si dovrebbero recare lì, a meno che non ci si possa spostare in futuro dal Canada al Regno Unito e viceversa.

Secondo quanto riporta una fonte anonima, Harry e Meghan attendono con impazienza di riabbracciare l’anziana Elisabetta e sperano che per giugno o luglio la situazione si sia stabilizzata. Naturalmente, però, tutti sono consapevoli che le cose potrebbero cambiare da un momento all’altro e che la salute della Regina e della Royal Family dovrà essere tutelata con priorità assoluta. Il bilancio del coronavirus fa paura al Regno Unito: la malattia ha ucciso 33 persone in un solo giorno e il bilancio dei positivi è 2.626 contro i 1.950 del giorno prima.

Meghan e Harry erano attesi a Balmoral in realtà per il prossimo maggio, in occasione del primo compleanno del loro piccolo Archie Harrison. Tuttavia i duchi di Sussex si stanno mostrando coscienziosi e attenti alle regole per evitare la diffusione del contagio.

Proprio nelle scorse ore la coppia ha pubblicato un aggiornamento su Instagram, in cui chiede di evitare di uscire da casa per arginare la crisi sanitaria prodotta dal coronavirus.

La paura è molto alta, soprattutto tra le fasce della popolazione anziana, tra cui rientra Elisabetta, ma anche suo marito, il Principe Filippo di Edimburgo. Anche i Sussex stanno cercando di tutelare la loro salute, anche perché hanno temuto di essere stati esposti al contagio nel corso del loro ultimo soggiorno nel Regno Unito nei giorni scorsi. Harry ha infatti abbracciato il pilota di Formula 1 Lewis Hamilton, il quale nei giorni precedenti all’abbraccio era stato fotografato insieme all’attore Idris Elba e alla premiere dame del Canada Sophie Trudeau, entrambi risultati positivi al coronavirus.
